ParticipantHello,
just started testing LP2 beta, congrats for the new version. 🙂
First what I found so far on the positive side (important things for me):
MIDI feedbackback to my BCR2000 and Quick-Assign work flawlessly. So the problem I had with LP1 is solved now. Great.

Now to the problem I found:
Key Zone MIDI learn isn’t working for me.
I think that’s related to the MIDI keyboard I use currently (Roland PC-160A). It sends continiously MIDI clock and Active sensing (at least that’s what a MIDI monitor shows), which seems it prevents LP from getting into ‘Listening mode’.
Looks like this:When I plug off the MIDI keyboard, "Listening…" lights up fine on the buttons, so I assume MIDI clock and Active Sensing should maybe be filtered out by default for Key Zone learn ?

KeymasterAha!
Yes the zones should of course only respond to note on messages. thanks to you and your keyboard for spotting this.In general I would be happy for any input on how we can improve the workflow for keyboard players.
I got some ideas on the drawing board, but it would be nice to know how things like zones and multiple keyboards could be improvedApril 19, 2016 at 12:02 #3460no_user no_user
ParticipantHi Nikolai,
I just did a quick test with Beta 1.1 seeing
quote :Midi learn now ignores various special messages like active sense.in the changelog. Thanks.
I won’t exclude user error of course, but so far I still couldn’t get it to work with my MIDI keyboard.
I still get the same as in the opening post, Learn button flashes briefly than goes off. This is what my Keyboard continiously sends:
So my question would be:
Active sense is already ignored, did you ignore "Timing clock" also ?If yes, I’ll investigate further on my side.

KeymasterHmmm. Probably missed timing clock then. Will check and create a hot fix for you

KeymasterSorry for the delay, seems midi clock was indeed filtered out in 1.1 but, I have made some changes to make sure only notes get through:

ParticipantThanks and sorry also for the delay, didn’t get a reply notification although I subscribed to this thread.
Anyways,
Keyzone learn works fine now. 🙂However in the ‘Hardware controllers’ window there’s still the same problem.

(At 0:06 I unplug my Keyboard-MIDI cable to show the button lights up correctly then)
