taskbar button disappearing upon opening

i'm on a fresh install of windows 10 64bit (less than a month old) & when i doubleclick the desktop icon to launch liveprofessor - there's a taskbar icon showing up at the bottom, it goes away & is replaced by a second icon.
i came here to ask if i am the only one this is happening to, or if there is any knowledge as to why it is happening & what i can do to prevent it from happening .. but i see the layout is all broken when i attempt to load the website, suggesting there's an infestation.
