Re: Mixer

@patrass
I think I'll soon just give in and add a Mixer View, with faders for each chain, and some aux sends.
(I also needed a super-light mixer the other day)

Re: Allen&Heath DLive Midi data to controle LP2

Hi
This sounds more like a bug on my end, are you using the new midi trigger button in the Global Snapshots list ?

Re: DSP Meter

Hi Yes, it might be a bit unclear, in fact, I kind of regret adding it as it will never be something you can trust as an absolute meter. It measures the time it takes to process all audio inside LiveProfessor divided by the time it has available (buffer size) More detailed information is available h...

Re: LP2 using Waves StudioRack/SG Server

Thank you @mlcook19 ! That makes sense, so I guess this case is closed. You need a sound grid audio interface to get this working, the SG Connect setup will not work, you will get a 74ms delay. SG Connect will only work in a DAW as a mixing tool, where everything is buffered anyway. Thank you for yo...

Re: VU Meters and Gain Reduction Plugins Map MIDI

Hi
The only things that can be mapped are the parameters "exposed" by the plugin, so that is totally up to the plugin-maker, LiveProfessor just shows the list from the plugin.
I have never seen a plugin that has meters as parameter values though, so I guess the answer is no.

Re: LP2 using Waves StudioRack/SG Server

To be honest, I have no idea why the waves stuff behaves like it does. The only ones who can tell what is going on is Waves support. Being waves though, they will probably just tell you (or me) that LiveProfessor is not on their list of supported hosts, and that they will not answer any questions. B...

Hi
Good to hear that this solved your issue, the new setting is included in 2.3 so you can update.

Re: LP2 using Waves StudioRack/SG Server

Not sure how you would use the Waves MGO. Is that not just a MADI to/from sound gird box ? where does the asio/core audio come in to play? Waves support would be able to tell you though. Here is what they told me: Just clarifying that if the users will add a SoundGrid I/O (in addition to the SG serv...

Hi sorry for the late reply. If you google the console output you posted here: You get posts like these with other having the same issue: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7754213?start=30&tstart=0 I have not researched it very much, but it seems to me that there is a firmware hardware issue here...

Re: # of USB ports and latency

Hi I'm not an expert on USB ports, but in general. It should not have any effect on latency directly. It is not like if you plug in a mouse or keyboard the latency would change. However, I have heard that if you do need the full bandwidth of a usb port, it can be a good idea to divide the load. In d...

Re: How to disable plugins in plugin manager

Yes, it is the Hide / Show selected plugins option.
The plugins are not really disabled, just hidden from all "Add plugins" menus

Re: LP2 using Waves StudioRack/SG Server

Update, waves points out that this is not the case if using sound grid IO, only when using core audio / asio devices that connect to the sound grid enviroment.
When using sound grid IO (like a sound grid card on a mixer I guess) latency between the server should go down to 40 samples

Re: Loading Scene from different Computer

Hi
I was affraid it would be like that, the data is just not compatible I guess.
I could at best get H-Delay to recall right between mac AU and mac VST.
Shelving this feature for now.

Re: LP2 using Waves StudioRack/SG Server

Got some news on this today. So I hooked up a Impact server, and tested. At 48K I got an added 74 samples added latency like you guys. I then asked waves support about this and they confirmed that the sound grid-connect server/system adds a buffer of 3552 samples. Case closed, it is like this by des...

Re: Compitability with Yamaha Dante Accelerator

Not sure about this issue, but the first thing I would do is to get away from OSX 10.11, to 10.12 or 10.13
10.11 had general audio issues, as far as I recall
