    Hey there,

To make the Midi Clock department of LP2 complete, an offset slider would be a good idea.
The averaging works great and when you have a stable source clock even sequenced VSTs/AUs are very nice in sync.

The only problem is that in general midi arrives with a quite noticeable latency into LP2
(or into any other host when routed via a bus, i.e. IAC), thus synced devices in LP2 fire too early.

Now you can adjust this manually in the host by moving midi around but the far simpler option would be a slider
that shifts the incoming clock +/- based on ms. Once set, everything is all the time 100% in full sync.

(Maschine does this very well… I think Bitwig has this added as well in a recent update.)

I also believe that this (hopefully) might be an easy thing to realize.
Let me know what you think.

    Best,
    tL.

    Hi

How is this different from the option in Options > Project Options > Midi ?

There is a spinbox there where you can input an offset to the incoming clock in samples

Holy crap man… You’re right. Somehow I didn’t notice that.

Very good. You can delete this thread if you like.
